Central Hilal Commeetee has declared that moon was sighted and Eid will be on Wed April 10th, 2024.

8:40 – Eid Prayer (salah)

Additional guidelines for Eid Prayer:

1. Eid prayer starting at 8:00 am
2. The minimum Sadaqatul Fitr (Fitrana) is $8.00 per person. One can pay as much he/she likes. The more he/she pays the better. You can also pay online by visiting the masjid website and clicking the donate button. Just indicate the money is fitrana in the category selection.
3. Additional accommodations for the brothers will be made on the deck outside and in the parking lot
4. Accommodations for the sisters will be upstairs.
5. Parents that intend to bring their child/children that are younger than 12 years old MUST pray on the deck outside or be with the mother upstairs. Each parent is responsible for controlling their child/children.

The etiquette of Eid ul Fitr

1. Rise as early as possible.
2. Take ghusal [ shower]
3. Use the Miswaak.
4. Wear best clothes [ in the limit of shariah]
5. Apply Itter [non alcoholic perfume]
6. Eat any thing sweet such as dates before departing for eid salah.
7. Go to Eid place as early as possible.
8. Give sadaqatul fitr before leaving for eid prayer
9. Choose a separate route for going and coming back from eid salah.
10. Recite the takbeer while going to eid place.

Note: it is makruh e tahrimi [Haram] to perform any Nafl Salah before Eid Salah.
